Free Education to poor Children
Most of the street children in India are working children. Being earning hands, their poor parents do not encourage them to go to school. Besides, in the case of conflicting school and work time, the children drop out soon after enrollment. The Program, initiated in 2019, aims to reach the school dropouts, out-of-school, poor urban youths, and all those who have been left out of the mainstream formal education system on account of poverty and lack of opportunity.

Cloth Distribution
We organize cloth distribution camps in slums, orphanages, and old age houses. We as an organization strongly feel about destitute and for us nobody should suffer the lack of clothes. These camps are very often and have their importance. Recent camps were organized in the slums of P/O. Basohli, Teh. Basohli, dist. Kathua
Mask Distribution
In our ongoing efforts to serve and uplift the underprivileged sections of society, Basohli Lok Sewa Sanstha is proud to launch the Mask Distribution Initiative. Intending to safeguard the health and well-being of vulnerable communities, this program seeks to provide essential protective gear to those who need it most.
The following activities were conducted recently: –
- Creating awareness about what is Covid-19 virus, how it spreads, and explaining how social distancing checks the spread of coronavirus
- Demonstrating how wearing of masks can reduce the risk of infecting others and protecting ourselves
- Correct method of using and discarding the masks
- Distribution of masks to the villagers
- Demonstration of the correct method of washing with soap
- Effective use of sanitizers and
- Distribution of sanitizers to the panchayat cleaning staff

Stationary Distribution to poor students
The children of dist. Kathua was in for a big surprise when Basohli Lok Sewa Sanstha founder Mr. Baljeet Singh walked into their area with School bags and stationery items to distribute. Our NGO has been one of the most active non-profit organizations in providing food and relief materials to poor people.

Grocery Distribution During Lockdown
Our organization is consistently working hard to help as many people in need as we can. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, the underprivileged and economically vulnerable communities have faced unprecedented challenges, especially in accessing essential supplies like groceries. Recognizing the urgent need to support these marginalized sections of society, Basohli Lok Sewa Sanstha has stepped forward with a dedicated initiative to ensure that no one goes hungry during these trying times.

Awareness program during Lockdown
Basohli Lok Sewa Sanstha was organized to provide awareness to all people who require care and protection during the COVID-19 pandemic Lockdown with Government permission. It aims to provide information not only to emergency needs but also to link them to various services established for their long-term care and rehabilitation.

Financially Help to Girls Marriage
Basohli Lok Sewa Sanstha is a society NGO for poor girl marriage, created by Mr. Baljeet Singh, this program mainly performs the “Girl Marriage” of daughters whose families can’t afford a wedding. We try to support the girl and her family by bearing the expenses of the wedding and demolishing the dowry and suicide due to lack of funds for marriage.

Health Awareness Program
Health Camp was conducted for Women, Adolescent Girls, and Aged People by Basohli Lok Sewa Sanstha. The people were sensitized about the importance of washing their hands before and after eating and exercising daily and the importance of working and inculcating other healthy habits to avoid falling sick. The people were asked to share their daily routines and the steps they took every day to maintain hygiene. The youth learned a lot from the session and promised to follow all the good habits.

Vocational Training
With the turn of the three years, the Basohli Lok Sewa Sanstha Realized Rights entered its final phase. Therefore, to catch up with the timeline and reach the initial target, in the period program, we saw an upswing in the activities. Basohli Lok Sewa Sanstha aimed an all-round development of 200 street and working girl children and women over three years, ensuring their rights to survival, protection, development, and participation. Besides, it also aimed at providing basic services to these beneficiaries. The Vocational Training Program operated in Basohli, Teh. Basohli, dist. Kathua (J&K).
